Naver Cloud Moves 10 Japanese Publisher Games To The Cloud

Naver Cloud converted the operating infrastructure of 10 games and 1 online portal of Japanese Publisher games distributor ‘ GOP ‘ to cloud-based and distributed them through its Japanese region (multiple cloud data centers). It was announced on the 29th that the service would be provided. ‘GioP’ is a local distributor that services

popular games such as ArcheAge, AVA, Kronos, Lost Ark, and Pmang JAPAN (Japanese game portal). To operate stable services in the Japanese market, the company’s services, which had been operating as on-premises installed on its own servers, were converted to a cloud environment with the support of Naver Cloud and Clucus, a cloud management service provider (MSP).

‘GOP’ cited the high level of service quality and active technical support as the reasons for choosing Naver Cloud.

Naver Cloud assigned a dedicated technology manager ( TAM ) and provided a customized credit program optimized for game services to improve cost management and operational efficiency. Clucus deployed a dedicated operations team specialized in the gaming industry to provide prompt technical support and troubleshooting.

Bae Joo-hwan, executive director of Naver Cloud, said, “Gaming is one of the industries that is expected to invest the most in cloud conversion. We will strive to secure competitiveness in the gaming field based on successful cloud conversion cases and high-quality services.”

Mashiki Sano, technical manager of ‘GioP’, said, “With the move to the cloud, we will be able to secure a stable infrastructure, so we plan to show many services to the global market in the future.”
