NCSoft and Google Cloud begin AI and cloud cooperation

NCSoft is pursuing collaboration with Google Cloud to improve productivity in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud. NCSoft and Google Cloud held a meeting at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California on the 26th (local time) with executives representing the collaboration between the two companies, including NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin and Google Cloud AI and Machine Learning Infrastructure Vice President Mark Lohmeyer.

The two companies announced that they conducted discussions with the goal of expanding the global collaboration area in the cloud and AI fields and established a mid- to long-term collaboration model for AI , cloud, and productivity. Specifically, NCSoft and Google Cloud decided to apply AI technology throughout the game development process and cooperate in developing a platform for building a game ecosystem. In addition, we decided to introduce Google Cloud services for data analysis and live service optimization for game development and operation, and to introduce ‘Gemini for Google Workspace’, a productivity improvement tool using AI.

The two companies plan to continue expanding the scope of global collaboration. Based on this cooperation, NCSoft plans to advance its self-developed generative AI language model ‘VARCO ‘ using ‘Vertex AI’ of Google Cloud, which includes Gemini and Gemma.
