Samsung Unveils ‘Galaxy Fit 3’ Screen Down 45% Fall Detection

Samsung Electronics unveiled its new fitness band ‘Galaxy Fit 3’ on the 22nd.

The Galaxy Fit 3 is equipped with a 40 mm display, which is about 45% larger than its predecessor, allowing more information to be viewed at a glance, and has an aluminum body to enhance durability. A new ‘one-click band’ has also been applied that allows you to easily replace the band with the desired style.

Galaxy Fit 3 health monitoring functions

Galaxy Fit 3 provides a variety of health monitoring functions, including more than 100 types of exercise records for sleep and stress levels. In particular, fall detection and emergency SOS functions are supported for the first time in the Galaxy Fit series. When a fall is detected, the user can call an emergency number to quickly receive assistance, and in an emergency situation, an SOS message can be sent by pressing the side button five times.

Connectivity

Connectivity with Galaxy smartphones has also been improved. The Galaxy Fit 3’s ‘Camera Remote Control’ and ‘Media Controller’ functions allow you to control photo taking or media playback on a connected smartphone. In addition, you can synchronize ‘Do Not Disturb’ or ‘Sleep Mode’ with a connected smartphone and use the ‘Find My Phone’ function to find the location of the smartphone or, conversely, find the location of the ‘Galaxy Fit 3’ with your smartphone.

‘Galaxy Fit 3’ supports 5ATM level water resistance and IP68 level water and dust resistance, allowing users to enjoy activities in a wider range of environments, and is equipped with a battery that can be used for up to 13 days on a single charge. It will be released sequentially from the 23rd in some countries such as Europe, Asia, and Central and South America in three colors: gray, silver, and pink gold. It is scheduled to be released in Korea through Samsung.com, etc., and a detailed schedule and price will be revealed upon release.
