Biden’s Election Campaign: Makes A Love Call To Pop Star Swift
Biden’s election campaign, a ‘supporter of approval ratings, makes a love call to pop star Swift
With nine months left until the next U.S. presidential election, U.S. President Joe Biden’s camp, which has begun its re-election campaign, is sending a love call to world-renowned pop star Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, the Biden election campaign is said to be discussing various options, such as President Biden visiting Swift’s concert tour site in person. The Biden camp is also making efforts to attract several celebrities and social media stars as allies.
This strategy appears to be intended to create as positive a public image as possible for President Biden ahead of this presidential election, which is expected to be an ‘unfavorable match’. President Biden is also having difficulty increasing his approval rating as his core supporters, African Americans, Latinos, young people, and the majority of Muslims, are turning away due to aging, worsening people’s livelihood, and issues related to support for Israel. The American daily New York Times (NYT) reported on the 29th (local time) that President Biden’s aides are trying to pursue an ‘ambitious dream’ of winning Swift’s support while attracting election experts and social media influencers.
If Swift, who has 279 million followers on Instagram, declares her support, it would be like winning a thousand words for President Biden, who is struggling with his poor approval rating. NYT said, “(Swift) is a person who can move millions of supporters with her Instagram posts or comments during performances,” and “Swift’s fundraising appeal could be worth millions of dollars to Biden.”
Swift also supported President Biden, then the Democratic presidential candidate, in the 2020 presidential election. The NYT reported that because many plans have already been made, the job posting for social media workers, even stated that there was no need to present a media strategy related to Swift. U.S. NBC, citing sources, reported that President Biden is also planning to hold a fundraising event with former President Bill Clinton and former President Barack Obama.
Former President Donald Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidate, has been criminally indicted on 91 charges on four occasions, including the storming of Congress on January 6, 2021, and attempts to overturn the results of the presidential election.
